Counseling and therapy services for those ready for change.

WELCOME!

You are here because something is off and you are tired of feeling that way. You might be experiencing anxiety or OCD symptoms that are affecting every aspect of your life and you can't figure out how to make it stop. You could be having trouble you didn’t used to have, or you are ready to face something that has been there a while. Perhaps you have suffered a loss that you aren’t sure how to handle and no one else "gets" why you can't get past it. Do you find yourself confused about big life stuff and just need a space and a person to help sort it all out? Maybe you just want to grow and learn more about yourself and your place in the world. These are common challenges many of my clients face, but the good news is you don’t have to face it alone.

You are probably asking “why is finding a therapist that’s a good fit so hard?” It’s hard because it’s a relationship that has to feel right. You have started the adventure to find it just by reading this, so nice work! I totally get needing help from someone that you can learn to trust, which is why my work with clients focuses on building that trust and figuring out what you need to help you achieve your goals. Some of my specialties are working on relationships, career stuff, big life changes, OCD and anxiety, LGBTQIA+ related topics, grief, and personal growth.

There are so many letters for all the great types of therapy out there! I am truly an integrative therapist and will grab parts of whatever kinds of therapy apply to your situation in that moment on that day.  If it's helpful great, we will continue using it.  If it's not, then we will try something else.  I regularly use I-CBT, ERP, Mindfulness, Person Centered, and ACT therapy in my work with clients. Bottom line, we will figure out what works for you in a way that feels honest and authentic.

Clicking on the button below to reach out and make contact with me is a risk. A scary risk that begins the process of choosing something different for yourself. Talking with me about your needs isn't a commitment to anything other than the chat itself and if I can't help, then I will absolutely help you find someone that can. I hope to talk to you soon!

I consider myself a geek. I grew up reading comics, wanting to boldly go where no one has gone before, and being fascinated by a galaxy far, far away. My therapeutic style is warm, authentic, compassionate, fun, and non-judgmental. If it makes sense, I love incorporating aspects of geek culture into our work together because they often represent important aspects of who we are. Embracing what we love, whatever that is, and utilizing it in creating change is an amazing process. I believe that we are ALL more than meets the eye, and if you feel like your geekiness might work well with a therapist that speaks geek, click the button to schedule a free consultation and let’s talk more about how that could work.
